Your English summer school is based on the modern King Alfred Campus of the University of Winchester, just a 15-minute-walk from the historic city centre.

Courses

General English Course

15 lessons x 45 mins or 11.25 hours per week

Intensive English Course

20 lessons x 45 mins or 15 hours per week

Summer College Course

35 x 45 minutes or 26.25 hours per week

The ‘Harry Potter’ Experience

Age 10-17. Supervised programme which incorporates morning . English lessons with a special ‘Harry Potter’ theme. -14 nights programme

Accommodation

Residence: On the King Alfred Campus you will stay in study blocks with self-contained flats of six to eight single rooms. You can either stay in an en-suite single room or in a standard single room with shared toilet and shower facilities on each floor. You'll get full board accommodation that includes breakfast, warm lunch and dinner.

Teaching and Lessons

We ensure high customer satisfaction by using extensive quality management. (In 2016 customer satisfaction was 98%) In the lessons, we want to help you improve your language skills. At the same time you will learn a lot about the host country – and by meeting native people you will start to understand the people and their culture much better. We will do presentations, interviews and role plays during our classes, all of which will help your personal growth.

Activities

• One half-day trip during your first week (e.g. Bournemouth, Salisbury, Portsmouth or Southampton)
• One further half-day trip and one full day trip for each additional week (e.g London, Bath, Brighton or Oxford)
