ISSOS / Yale

The exclusive ISSOS summer school program offers high school students (aged 13-18) from over 70 nationalities the opportunity to combine learning, creative enrichment and action-packed adventure in the historic and picturesque university town of Yale. Our three week program welcomes students from all over the world and mixes native and non-native English speakers, limiting the number of students from one nationality to 10% in order to guarantee a truly international experience. Students choose from a variety of academic and elective subjects that are taught by highly qualified professionals and benefit from a full activities, cultural trips and workshops program. In addition students are well supervised by a team of summer school counselors who make sure students are safe and happy at all times as well as making sure the summer school is fun, full of laughter and that all students make friends from around the world. Accommodation

Students will be housed in the stunning halls of residence, which provide a comfortable and safe home for the duration of the three-week summer school program. With its oak-panelled common rooms, expansive dinning areas, beautiful libraries and private garden, these halls of residence have been home to many famous scholars. Rooms are either single or shared with one other student. If students are sharing it will always be with a student of the same gender and age but of a different nationality, this promotes and enhances the international atmosphere at ISSOS.

Teaching and Lessons

At ISSOS we take pride in using only highly qualified and motivated staff. All of our teachers have been carefully selected from academic institutions around the world for their qualifications, expertise and experience and bring with them an energy and enthusiasm for teaching and interacting with young people, within both our academic and extra-curricular programmes. There is a staff student ratio of 1:5 and classes are intentionally kept small in order to provide individual attention and personalised instruction.
