Camp Framlingham is a traditional-looking boarding school with a modern, contemporary campus looking over Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill”, ideal for older teenagers who want a holiday to England where they can improve their English, meet new people and visit some of England’s most popular cities. On-campus there are acres of lawn for activities or relaxing with friends, and the local town is only moments away with shops and cafés to hang out in as well as some amazing city excursions to London, Cambridge or Norwich. During the 2-week programme, the teachers will take all the campers on 3 organised day trip.

Courses

English

- from Elementary (A2), Intermediate (B1), Advanced (B2), Proficiency (C1) to Masters (C2) courses, the lessons offer support in conversation, grammar, English Literature, debates and presentations

English Plus + Robotics Programming

- camp is perfect for students who want to experiment and learn more about robotics and programming - during this 2-week programme, students will have 8 sessions learning how to construct diferent robots to suit diferent functions - students will learn how to develop, adapt and change programming utilising diferent input sensors on their robots

English Plus + Leadership

- course ofers older students a unique cross-cultural opportunity to build and develop skills in key areas of leadership - during this 2-week course camp instructors will guide 15 to 17-year-old students through a series of sessions designed to test and develop their efective team work, problem solving, communication and presentation skills

English Plus + Football

- this course is perfect for students who want to play football, improve their skills and develop English language skills - this 2-week camp will consist of 1-2 football training sessions per day (except excursion days) delivered in English supported by English language lessons and cultural excursions

Accommodation

Accommodation at Camp Framlingham is set across 7 boarding houses, which creates a large campus-style atmosphere. Dorms are furnished to a comfortable standard with single to 6 beds per room. If you have any special requirements or would like to request to share with a friend, we will try to accommodate you, just let us know in advance.

Teaching and Lessons

- Xplore English language courses are accredited by ABLS and taught using Anglia Examinations - Teachers focus on improving language skills through cultural integration & promoting global independence and to maximise students’ English language skills by encouraging communication in a social and fun environment as well as through engaging ESL lessons. - Xplore language camps give students the independence to explore a new country and make memories with new friends by themselves, whilst being in a safe and secure environment. - Meeting other nationalities can help students to develop respect, understanding and appreciation for different cultures, the programmes encourage interaction between different nationalities and cultures on campus or in the family home.
