Xplore / Camp Finborough

Finborough Hall is the original Xplore activity camp. The grounds of the school are impressive with acres of land and everything you could need for the ultimate outdoor adventure camp, including woodland containing our 12-metre high climbing and abseiling tower, a river for kayaking and raft building and one super quad biking track. During free time, children are able to play and explore the campus with friends, whilst being supervised by their house parents. In addition to crate climbing, quad biking, games and sports, Camp Finborough also has a river for water-based activities such as kayaking, canoeing and raft building and two woodland areas for climbing, abseiling, bush craft, and campfires!

• Xplore language courses, located in England, Germany and USA, are the perfect place for 6 to 17 year olds to independently experience a new country, meet new people and make new friends with other children and teenagers from around the world.

English

- small class sizes with a maximum of 15 children per class this allows focused integration with other learners and the teacher - learners will complete an examination with certificate from Anglia Examinations for the level they have been learning at - learning time per week is 20 hours

English Plus + Horse Riding

- the course is perfect for students who have a love of horses and would like to improve their stable knowledge and riding ability alongside developing their English language skills - organized by instructors who are British Horse Society and Pony Club qualifed - opportunity to show your new skills in a ‘Dressage and Show Jumping competitionʼ

Summer accommodation is located in both the main school building and in ‘Klubhouse, all of which have been refurbished. All rooms across the whole site are very similar, providing standard yet comfortable accommodation for between 4 to 6 students per dorm room and shared bathroom facilities.A college also has separate quarters for boys and girls to try to put children of a similar age in a room together.

- Xplore English language courses are accredited by ABLS and taught using Anglia Examinations - Teachers focus on improving language skills through cultural integration & promoting global independence and to maximise students’ English language skills by encouraging communication in a social and fun environment as well as through engaging ESL lessons. - Xplore language camps give students the independence to explore a new country and make memories with new friends by themselves, whilst being in a safe and secure environment. - Meeting other nationalities can help students to develop respect, understanding and appreciation for different cultures, the programmes encourage interaction between different nationalities and cultures on campus or in the family home.
