The school was founded in 1989. The founders are both qualified EFL teachers and have many years’ experience teaching abroad and in the UK. Originally from San Francisco, USA, Grace is Director of Studies and started her teaching career in Italy. Greg is the Principal of the school and taught in Spain, France, and La Réunion (Indian Ocean) before returning to Cardiff to teach English at Cardiff University. Cardiff is his hometown and, after returning here, he realised the huge potential of the city as a wonderful destination for foreign students to come and learn English. That’s why they created CELT!

Homestay The school carefully select homestay providers for both our adult and teenage students and do everything possible to ensure that the students enjoy their stay with us. Residential The school has a new residence next door to the Adult Centre which can accommodate a maximum of four people. It has one double room, two large singles and a modern shared bathroom, kitchen and living area.

Výuka a lekce

Put a special emphasis on improving the student’s ability to communicate effectively through the use of pair and group work, role-play, guided class discussions, situational dialogues, etc. Homework is given regularly on all courses to help students revise and consolidate what is learnt during the lessons.
